THE LORD STANDS FOR JUSTICE
Wisdom 5:17–23
This passage reveals the greatness and power of God. The Lord is described as a mighty warrior clothed with righteousness, justice, and holiness. It reminds us that God is not indifferent to evil. He sees injustice, pride, oppression, and wickedness, and in His perfect time He will bring true justice.
The images of lightning, storms, raging seas, and mighty winds show that all creation belongs to God and responds to His authority. Human power may seem strong for a moment, but nothing can stand against the holiness and justice of the Lord.
At the same time, this passage is not meant only to create fear, but also hope. For those who walk with God, His justice is protection. The same God who judges evil also defends the righteous and stands beside those who remain faithful to Him.
Today, let us examine our hearts. Are we building our lives on truth, righteousness, and obedience to God, or allowing pride and selfishness to rule us? For in the end, only what is built in God will stand firm.
Prayer:
Lord, clothe my heart with righteousness and lead me away from evil. Help me live in truth, humility, and faithfulness each day. Amen.
