TODAY’S GOD’S WORD REFLECTION: LEAVING TO RECEIVE SOMETHING GREATER

📖 Today’s Readings: 1 Peter 1:10–16 | Psalm 98 | Mark 10:28–31
Peter said to Jesus, “We have left everything and followed You.” Jesus answered with a powerful promise: whoever leaves something behind for the sake of God and the Gospel will receive back far more, and also eternal life.
Following the Lord sometimes requires sacrifice. There are comforts we must let go of, ego we must surrender, and fears we must overcome. Yet God never allows those sacrifices to be wasted. He sees every act of faithfulness, every hard work, every tear, and every struggle of His children.
Today’s readings remind us that life with God is not about losing, but about receiving something far greater: peace, strength, spiritual growth, a spiritual family, and eternal hope.
Today, let us remain faithful in walking with the Lord. Whatever we do with love and faith will never be in vain before Him.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, teach me to faithfully follow You with a sincere heart. Give me the courage to let go of anything that keeps me away from You, and help me trust that You always provide what is best for my life. Amen.
