WHAT TRULY LASTS BEFORE GOD
Wisdom 5:11–16
This passage reminds us how quickly worldly things can disappear. Human pride, wealth, status, and success may seem important for a moment, but they pass away like smoke in the wind or a shadow that fades. Many people spend their lives chasing things that cannot truly last.
But Wisdom gives a beautiful contrast: “The righteous live forever.” Those who walk with God, remain faithful, love sincerely, and choose what is right are never forgotten by Him. Even if the world overlooks them, God sees their lives and holds them in His care.
What truly lasts before God is not popularity or earthly achievement, but a faithful heart, a truthful life, humility, love, and righteousness. These are the treasures that remain eternal.
Today, let us ask ourselves: Are we building our lives only for this world, or also for eternity?
Prayer:
Lord, teach me to live for what truly lasts before You. Help me walk in truth, humility, love, and faithfulness each day. Amen.
