Reflection on God’s Word Today: Offer Your Best to the Lord
Readings: Isaiah 42:1–7, Psalm 27:1–3,13–14, John 12:1–11
Mary anointed Jesus’ feet with costly perfume—an act of love and deep reverence. She didn’t hold back. Her gesture reminds us that true love for God doesn’t withhold the best, even when misunderstood, like by Judas.
In Isaiah 42, God speaks of His chosen Servant, who brings justice gently and quietly. This foreshadows Jesus, who serves with humble love. Mary recognized who Jesus truly was, and responded with wholehearted devotion.
Psalm 27 strengthens our hearts to not fear the darkness of life, for the Lord is our light and salvation. When we give our best to God, like Mary did, we walk in the light of His love.
Today, let us ask ourselves: What can I offer to the Lord? Not just material things, but our hearts, time, attention, and faithfulness. Don’t delay.
Prayer:
Lord, teach me to offer my best to You, as Mary did. Shape my heart to give freely and live fully for Your glory. Amen.
Tuhan memberkati kita semua ❤️,
