Finding Refuge in God: Trust Over Fear

Life often presents challenges that make us feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or even afraid. In Psalm 11:1-7, the psalmist is encouraged to flee in fear, yet he boldly declares, "In the Lord I take refuge." Instead of running away, he trusts in God's justice and sovereignty.

Similarly, Isaiah 41:10 reassures us:
"Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

These passages remind us that God is always in control. He sees every situation, strengthens the weary, and protects those who trust in Him. Even when the world feels unstable, our foundation remains firm in God’s righteousness.

Reflection:

• Do I place my trust in God or let fear dictate my actions?
• How can I remind myself daily that God is my refuge?

Challenge:

Whenever fear arises, declare with faith: "The Lord is my refuge; I will not be afraid!"

Closing Prayer:

Heavenly Father, You are my refuge and strength. When fear and uncertainty arise, help me to trust in You completely. Remind me that You are always near, guiding, protecting, and upholding me. Strengthen my faith and fill my heart with peace. Amen.
