Reflection on God's Word Today: I Have Come to Do Your Will
The Gospel reading from Mark 3:31-35 reminds us that Jesus' true family consists of those who do the will of God. In Hebrews 10:1-10, Jesus sets the perfect example by offering Himself to fulfill the Father’s will, replacing the old sacrificial system. Psalm 40:2, 4ab, 7-8a, 10-11 echoes the psalmist's joy in saying, “Here I am, Lord; I come to do Your will.”
This reflection invites us to ask ourselves: Are we living as part of God's family by obeying His will? The world may offer many distractions, but true meaning and blessings come only from aligning our lives with His purpose.
God's will is not a burden but a calling of love, drawing us closer to Him. Let us learn from Jesus and the psalmist to prioritize and delight in doing God's will in our daily lives.
Short Prayer
Loving Father, we thank You for Your Word, which strengthens our hearts today. Teach us to always be faithful in doing Your will and living according to Your plan. With the guidance of Your Holy Spirit, help us to be true members of Your family and lead us toward true holiness. Through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
May this reflection inspire and strengthen us to walk in obedience to God's will every day. God bless!
