GOD WHO LIBERATES AND FULFILLS HIS PROMISE
SCRIPTURE REFLECTION: GOD WHO LIBERATES AND FULFILLS HIS PROMISE
Readings:
1 John 4:19–5:4 | Psalm 72:1–2, 14–15, 17 | Luke 4:14–22a
Jesus is present as the fulfillment of God's promise. What was once prophesied has now become a reality: liberation, restoration, and hope. He brings the love of God—who first loved us—and empowers us to live in a faith that overcomes the world. Like the King described in the Psalms, Christ defends the weak and makes our lives a blessing to many.
In daily life, faith in Christ is manifested through tangible love: the courage to defend the vulnerable, honesty in our actions, and a willingness to be peacemakers. By living from the love of God, we participate in His work of liberation for the world.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for Your liberating love. Strengthen our faith so that our lives may become channels of love, justice, and blessings for others. Amen.
