REFLECTION ON GOD’S WORD: JOY AS CHILDREN OF GOD
Readings:
2:29 – 3:6
1:29–34
Jesus is revealed as the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. This is the true source of our joy: sin is removed and our relationship with God is restored. The first reading affirms that those who believe in Christ are born of God and are called children of God. This identity is not merely a spiritual status, but a call to a new way of life.
Joy as children of God does not depend on external circumstances, but on abiding in Christ. When we realize that we belong to God, are loved, and redeemed, our hearts are filled with peace and joy. Living as God’s children means turning away from sin and walking in righteousness—not out of fear, but out of love.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for taking away my sins and making me a child of God. Help me live according to this new identity, so that my life may radiate Your joy and truth. Amen.
God bless us all ❤️,
