REFLECTION ON GOD'S WORD TODAY: KNOWING CHRIST MORE DEEPLY

(Memorial of Saint Boniface, Bishop and Martyr)
📖 Today's Readings: 2 Timothy 3:10–17 | Psalm 119:157,160,161,165,166,168 | Mark 12:35–37
In today’s Gospel, Jesus asks a question that challenges people to think more deeply: how can the Messiah be merely the son of David when David himself calls Him Lord? Jesus wants to open their eyes to the truth that the Messiah is not simply a great leader or an earthly ruler, but God Himself who came to save humanity.
The first reading presents the example of Saint Paul, who remained faithful despite suffering and persecution. Paul encourages Timothy to hold firmly to the Holy Scriptures, for the Word of God is able to teach, rebuke, correct, and train people in righteousness. Through Scripture, believers are equipped for every good work.
Today, the Lord invites us to know Jesus more deeply. We should not be content with knowing Him merely as a religious figure or someone we admire from a distance. Jesus is the living Lord who desires to be present in every decision, every task, every family relationship, and every step of our journey. The more we come to know Him through prayer and His Word, the more we will live according to His will and bear good fruit.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, help us to know You, love You, and follow You more faithfully each day. May Your Word be the light that guides our steps and strengthens us to remain faithful in every circumstance. Amen.
May God bless us all ❤️
