FAITHFUL UNTIL THE END

TODAY'S GOD'S WORD REFLECTION: FAITHFUL UNTIL THE END

Saturday, June 6, 2026

📖 Today's Readings: 2 Timothy 4:1–8 | Psalm 71:8–9, 14–17, 22 | Mark 12:38–44

In today's Gospel, Jesus warns His disciples about the scribes who sought honor, recognition, and praise from others. They appeared righteous on the outside, but their hearts were far from God. In contrast, Jesus praises a poor widow who offered two small coins—all she had to live on. In God's eyes, the value of an offering is not measured by its amount but by the love, sincerity, and sacrifice behind it.

The First Reading presents the example of Saint Paul near the end of his life. He declares, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” Paul was not speaking about worldly success but about remaining faithful to God until the very end. This is the true victory of a disciple of Christ.

Today, God invites us to live with sincere hearts. Let us not seek human praise or merely appear good in the eyes of others. What God desires is a heart that loves Him, remains faithful in small things, is willing to sacrifice, and perseveres in faith. Like the poor widow and Saint Paul, may we give our best to God and remain faithful until we reach the finish line.

Prayer: Lord, teach us to have sincere, humble, and faithful hearts. Help us to give our best in all that we do and to remain steadfast in faith until the end of our journey. Amen.

May God bless us all ❤️
