TODAY'S GOD'S WORD REFLECTION: BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO TRUST IN THE LORD
Monday, June 8, 2026
📖 Today's Readings: 1 Kings 17:1–6 | Psalm 121:1–8 | Matthew 5:1–12
In today’s Gospel, Jesus proclaims the Beatitudes. He calls blessed those who are poor in spirit, those who mourn, the meek, those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, the merciful, the pure in heart, the peacemakers, and those who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness. While the world often measures happiness by success, comfort, and recognition, Jesus teaches that true blessedness comes from a heart that is close to God.
The First Reading shows the example of the prophet Elijah, who remained obedient to God during a difficult time. God provided for Elijah at the Brook Cherith in an unexpected way. Today’s Psalm reminds us that our help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He never slumbers nor sleeps but continually watches over His people.
Today, God invites us to trust that true happiness does not depend on perfect circumstances but on a steadfast faith in Him. When we live with humility, faithfulness, sincerity, and a desire to bring peace, even amid difficulties, God Himself becomes the source of our strength, hope, and joy.
Prayer: Lord, teach us to seek true happiness in You alone. Strengthen our faith so that we may remain humble, faithful, and trusting in every circumstance. Amen.
May God bless us all ❤️
