Reflection on God’s Word Today: God’s Kingdom Grows through Small and Simple Things
First Reading: Exodus 32:15‑24, 30‑34
Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 106:19‑23
Gospel: Matthew 13:31‑35
The people of Israel turned away from God by making an idol, but Moses interceded, and God remained faithful. The Psalm affirms that even when humans often fail, God’s love never changes.
Jesus teaches that the Kingdom of God is like a mustard seed and yeast. Both are small and simple, yet they grow large and bring great influence. Likewise, our faith, though small, will grow and bear abundant fruit if nurtured.
Today we are invited to remain faithful in small things: prayer, service, and simple acts of love. Through such faithfulness, God makes our lives grow to become a blessing to many.
🙏 Prayer:
Lord, teach us to be faithful in simplicity, so that our faith may continue to grow and glorify Your name. Amen.
