God Strengthens and Guards Us in the Truth

Pater Noster Church, Jerusalem, Israel, Feb 2019

Reflection on God’s Word Today: God Strengthens and Guards Us in the Truth

Gospel Reading: John 17:11b–19
First Reading: Acts of the Apostles 20:28–38
Psalm: Psalm 68:29–30, 33–36

Jesus prays that the disciples may be protected and sanctified in the truth. He knows the world hates them, yet He does not ask the Father to take them out of the world—but to send them into it, fully equipped. Strength and protection come only from the Father, through His Word, which is truth.

Paul, in the first reading, urges the elders of the Church in Ephesus to care for the flock. He warns of fierce wolves that will try to destroy, yet he entrusts them to God and the Word of His grace, believing that it will build them up and strengthen them.

Today’s Psalm affirms that true strength comes from God. He empowers His people with the might to fulfill their calling.

Today we are reminded: God never promises an easy life, but He promises protection and strength in His truth. Let us remain faithful, trust His Word, and serve with love.

Prayer:
Lord, guard me in Your name and sanctify me in Your truth. Give me strength to remain faithful and be a light to others. Amen.

Tuhan Menguatkan dan Menjaga dalam Kebenaran

Pater Noster Church, Jerusalem, Israel, Feb 2019

Renungan Firman Tuhan Hari Ini: Tuhan Menguatkan dan Menjaga dalam Kebenaran

Bacaan Injil: Yohanes 17:11b–19
Bacaan Pertama: Kisah Para Rasul 20:28–38
Mazmur: Mazmur 68:29-30,33-36

Amin.

Faithful Until the End, God Is Always with Us

Yardenit, Jordan River Bank, Israel,  Feb 2019

Reflection on God’s Word Today: Faithful Until the End, God Is Always with Us

Gospel Reading: John 17:1–11a
First Reading: Acts of the Apostles 20:17–27
Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 68:10–11, 20–21

Jesus said to the Father that He had completed His mission and glorified God through His life.

Paul also declared that he had faithfully proclaimed the Gospel, not valuing his own life as long as he could finish the task the Lord had entrusted to him.

Both give us a powerful example of total faithfulness to a divine mission, even in the face of suffering.

Today’s Psalm reassures us that God never lets us walk alone: “Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burdens.” God not only gives us a mission—He gives us the strength to fulfill it.

Whatever challenges you’re facing today, remember this: God is always with you and will uphold you every step of the way.

Prayer:
Lord, teach me to be faithful to my calling. Strengthen me to finish the task You’ve entrusted to me. I believe You are always with me. Amen.

God bless us all ❤️

Setia Sampai Akhir, Tuhan Selalu Menyertai

Yardenit, Jordan River Bank, Israel Feb  2019

Renungan Firman Tuhan Hari Ini  3Jun2025: Setia Sampai Akhir, Tuhan Selalu Menyertai

Bacaan Injil: Yohanes 17:1–11a
Bacaan Pertama: Kisah Para Rasul 20:17–27
Mazmur Tanggapan: Mazmur 68:10-11, 20-21

Aku percaya, Engkau selalu menyertaiku. Amin.

Tuhan memberkati kita semua ❤️

Strength in the Lord and His Peace

St. Paul Catholic Church, Onanrunggu Parish, Samosir – May 25, 2025

Today’s Reflection on God’s Word: Strength in the Lord and His Peace

Monday, June 2, 2025
First Reading: Acts 19:1–8
Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 68:2-3, 4-5ac, 6-7ab
Gospel Reading: John 16:29–33

Today’s readings invite us to reflect on the power of the Holy Spirit and the true peace that Christ offers. In Acts of the Apostles, Paul meets some disciples in Ephesus who had not yet received the Holy Spirit. After baptizing them in the name of the Lord Jesus and laying hands on them, the Holy Spirit comes upon them—they begin speaking in tongues and prophesying. This highlights how vital the Holy Spirit is in empowering and strengthening our faith journey.

Psalm 68 praises God as the defender of the fatherless and the protector of widows—He gives the lonely a home and sets the prisoners free. This reminds us that God is our refuge and deliverer, always caring for those who depend on Him.

In the Gospel of John, Jesus comforts His disciples before His Passion: “In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world.” What a powerful assurance! Though trials and persecutions may come, true peace is found only in Christ—because He has conquered every darkness.

Short Prayer
Heavenly Father, fill our hearts with Your Holy Spirit, so we may be strengthened in faith and face every challenge with courage. Grant us Your peace that surpasses all understanding, for we believe You have overcome the world. Amen.

May God bless us all ❤️, Manuntun Sitinjak

Kuat dalam Tuhan dan Damai Sejahtera

Paroki Onan Runggu, Samosir, Minggu 25 Mei 2025

Renungan Firman Tuhan Hari Ini: Kuat dalam Tuhan dan Damai Sejahtera

Senin, 2 Juni 2025
Bacaan Pertama: Kisah Para Rasul 19:1–8
Mazmur Tanggapan: Mazmur 68:2-3, 4-5ac, 6-7ab
Bacaan Injil: Yohanes 16:29–33

Amin.

Tuhan memberkati kita semua ❤️, Manuntun Sitinjak

Your Grief Will Turn into Joy

Medan Cathedral Church, Ancession Day, Thursday 29 May 2025

Reflection on God’s Word Today: Your Grief Will Turn into Joy

First Reading: Acts 18:9–18
Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 47:2-3,4-5,6-7
Gospel Reading: John 16:20–23a

Today’s Word of God offers us deep comfort: your grief will turn into joy. In the Gospel of John, Jesus compares suffering to a woman in labor. Though she experiences pain, it is replaced by overwhelming joy once her child is born. This is His promise to us—that our pain will not last forever, and true joy will come, a joy that no one can take away.

In the Acts of the Apostles, Paul faces rejection and threats, yet God strengthens and protects him. This reminds us that we are never alone. Even in our hardest struggles, God walks with us and upholds us.

The Psalm today resounds with triumphant praise, "God ascends amid shouts of joy!" It paints a picture of God’s victorious presence, bringing true joy to His people.

Let us hold fast to this promise. Whatever sorrow we carry today, believe that God will transform it into everlasting joy.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, in the midst of life’s struggles, we trust in Your promise. Turn our sorrow into joy in You. Amen.

God bless us all ❤️,
