Reflection on God's Word Today: Abide in Christ, Bear Fruit in Unity and Peace
Readings: John 15:1–8; Acts 15:1–6; Psalm 122:1–5
Jesus said, “I am the true vine... Whoever abides in me and I in him bears much fruit” (John 15:1,5). Living in Christ is the primary calling of every disciple. To abide in Him means to build an intimate relationship through prayer, His Word, and love for others.
The reading from Acts shows that when disagreements arose, the apostles did not act individually. They gathered and discussed together to seek God’s will. This is a real fruit of abiding in Christ—living in unity and humility.
Psalm 122 echoes a longing for peace among God's people: “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem... Peace be within you” (Psalm 122:6). True peace and unity are not produced by human effort alone but flow from a deep connection with God.
Today we are invited to reflect: Have I truly remained in Christ? Does the fruit of my life bring peace and unity to those around me?
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, teach me to abide in You each day. May my life bear fruit in love, unity, and peace for those around me. Amen.
God bless us all ❤️,
